« on: August 10, 2012, 04:44:51 pm »
Hey

I am looking at getting this - http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk/shop/md505-stage-2-hybrid-turbo-for-vag-19-tdi-105bhp-engines-p-2758.html

Would I need to replace my fly wheel clutch etc?

Depends on the milage on the current unit, you might be able to get away with it.

Hi,

I have mapped a few 1.9 tdi 105 with hybrids, you will need a decat, intercooler and stronger clutch as a must. 320 ftlb and 185hp is possible with time spent mapping it correctly on the dyno. Our stg2 makes 275 ftlb and 155hp without the hybrid on a stock engine and with cooler and decat 165 and 280 is achievable. I would also advise new seals and clips for all of the boost pipes before mapping it, and give them all a good clean, we spend longer fixing boost leaks than actually mapping on most hybrid TDI setups.

Would a decat and intercooler also be a must on the pd140, if so what would happen without?

Decats help without question, the I/C should be fine though.
