The gasket and hose will be fine. Just wipe off the old oil residue and reinstall. The torx screws only need to be finger tight. Start from the right handside when tightening and move to the left. That will ensure it seats correctly.

I have exactly the same problem.

I bought a REV N PCV and will be replacing it this weekend (i hope) £32 delivered

Hey Steve, how did you know you needed an "N"?

And where did you order it from?  Cheers.

I asked on here and the company i bought the valve from told me the same..
I can give you the contact details if you like. Im sure it will cost you more than £32 from the dealer.

I've just been told by a dealer that "L" is the latest version.

Is that true?

Or should I look elsewhere for an "N"??

The N replaced the L, as that version is about 2 years old now. Have you a local TPS centre near to you? If so I would give them a phone call.

Just replaced mine today.

The valve itself seems ok, (sucking test ;)) however, i saw once it was off, it was lose and the bottom had oil platters.. so im not sure it was creating a seal.

It didnt come with the rubber gasket for between the two bits, so im going to get one of those too if things dont improve.. i think mine has deteriorated a tad

The gasket looks fine from what I can see. They very rarely need replacing.

I just replaced my PCV with the N and i didn't change the gasket and no leaks, all ok.
2008 Octavia vRS K04'd , Forge twintercooler, Evoms, Autotech uprated pump, full Milltek exhaust 324bhp on JKM's rollers ;-)

The one I took off. Was perfectly fine. Think the bolts were lose. Hm never mind

I changed mine as it had black carbon deposits all over one of the circular seals which would indicate a blow or leak past.

idles much smoother now.
