Yep it's a pucker RCD510 with DAB, was a bit wary ordering through Ebay but everything was all OK :happy2:

I promise I won't say a thing!  :innocent:

Remind me, had you modded her the first time we met?

No.............  Then 15 minutes with you and the refurb of the drive to my house gets put on hold for six months cause I keep spending money on the car

If I get found out I'm gonna be as slippery shouldered as possible.......................  and blame both you and scopes for clearing me out in the last quarter of this year, might work, might not, I'll try anything when backed into a corner.  :signLOL:

You can't go blaming us  :jumping: :jumping: :jumping: :jumping:  We were only trying to offer great advice to help you enjoy your car even more than before!   :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL:

Let's share, You'll take the grenade, I'll take the pin!

If it's not broke, Mod it.....

Silver is the way !

Cheers Matto and everyone else that's commented.  Your guide was dead on mate, only struggle was getting a sticky lock out but I kept going and swore a lot and it came out in the end.  I think the swearing helps..........It does with me anyway.

The dead pedal was off E-bay from creation motorsports shop, nicely finished bit of kit. :happy2:

Haha yeah I find that sometimes. Swear it is and it knows you mean business so thinks I'd best not mess about anymore  :signLOL:

Just been looking at their ones on eBay. I'm waiting on a set of R32 pedals and gear knob and was looking for the dead pedal cover too. The one they do have the R Line badge on though but not the sign. Have PM'd Gulfstream to see if he's still doing them.

So what's next for yours?

Everything......lowering springs, exhaust, highline, MFSW, more wheels etc etc  I've getting it bad this slippery slope disorder, no real idea where I'll start in 2013 but will have a think over christmas.  I'm hoping the engine will blow then I can justify something more pokey with the her indoors

I'll do all this sell up in a year or two and make a massive loss then do the same with and S3 or something like that.  Do we never learn. :rolleye:

A few bits and bobs to do then. My list was near the end, then i found some more to do haha. I don't think we ever learn. Although I went 6 yrs with the mk4 only having a remap. Then I got the mk5 and found this forum so the wallet took a hammering.

Her indoors doesn't mind what I do. She's always buying clothes and that so gives me a good enough reason to treat myself every now and again. I've just got some new winter tyres to go on some 17" Classix. Need a good clean first which is my job later after work. Also have a full set of S3 brakes to go on next year and also a full milltek in the pipeline once a mate at work has sold his Leon FR.

What's really annoying for me is that I used to work for a certain automotive consultancy in Northampton where we did no end of 2.0TFSi projects for Audi, I had so many parts strewn under my desk, turbo's, cranks, injectors.  Being a majority of development parts everything was binned when I left just over a year ago. :sad1:

I did get to build this puppy in my lunchtimes though :happy2:

N/A version of the old Sierra Cosworth engine, loads of work done and cost.  Sold the lot now as ran out of motivation having taken up other hobbies.  Bought the Golf as I wanted something all four of us could fit in and it went well as standard, also with potential for upgrading.  The golf fitted the bill really well.  :happy2:

R32  highline 974B clocks added, liked the white dials and thought they matched the RCD510 colours better.  Nice change going from midline to highline.

Mk6 MFSW added as well.

Also got 7P6 bluetooth phone kit and a CH steering wheel module all courtesy of ED, cheers buddy.  :happy2:

Happy with the dash now, these changes have freshened it up and modernised the look of it all IMO.

Onto the outside of the car next with VW going 50/50 on minor tailgate bubbles around the rear badge then another full detail correction in the spring off DMR. :happy2:

Cheers Pal.  :happy2:

To late mate she noticed alright.  I was, lets just say a little economical with the truth when it came down to costs,  as most of us hitched guys are with vehicle related spend  :happy2:

"My Westfield was only a couple of grand........honest love" :innocent:

"That new YB crank only cost £150 off a bloke at work love, it was a bargain".....runs to hide bank statement".   :innocent:
