Indy recommendations in Marlow area?
« on: June 23, 2014, 09:12:21 pm »
Need a service and potentially a wheel bearing replacement on my 08 GT this month but keep hearing horror stories about my local garages.

Can anyone point me at a competent and conscientious independent garage?

Thanks!

Hi. Have you heard of MDM Technik? In Marlow and website is: http://www.mdmtechnik.co.uk

F'book page is good where you can see their work too.

I haven't used MDM, but a chap I bought a couple of parts from gave them very high praise.
Given how mint his S3 was, I trust his judgement!

Personally, I have used APS in Brackley for many years - always felt they are worth the drive from Maidenhead.

JTech are very good but they are over Sonning Common way. Jamie is a personal friend of mine, has worked on all of my Golfs mk2, 4 & 5. He has built many a golf from scratch, from the engine up. Def worth a call http://www.jtechautomotive.co.uk

MDM Technik definitely, they put a Stage 1 Revo map on my car and service was very good. They will also be carrying out a service on the car soon :)

Try Westlake in High wycombe. Used them for years and  have had no complaints. they are enthusiasts aswell
