Opinions on this edition 30
« on: September 14, 2012, 03:33:14 pm »
Seems like a mega spec with all the extras. Milage seems a bit high but what do people think of the price for the car, anyone know the owner or car?

Opinions please

Thanks for that

So just shy of 4K of mods. Thinking to myself would It be worth buying a lower milage edition 30 and getting the mods myself. In hindsight tho would prob cost a lot more.

Anything I should look out for if I view the car. Says mechatronics unit has been replaced already

This was listed on ebay last month for £11,250 so the price has dropped by £1k.

Price seems fair. Lower milage stock ed30s for similar money on ph. I'm in Edinburgh tho & the car is in Wales. Almost 7 hours away from me :sad1:

Funny thing is its beside where I bought my current gti from and where I was meant to go this weekend to see family lol

....I had my Mechatronics module changed at ~6,000 miles and have now done 103,000 miles without any DSG problems. The DSG box of tricks is also remapped like the car you are considering.

Just because a car is modded it doesn't mean it has been badly thrashed and not looked after. Check its service history of course. And 'high' mileage is nothing to be frightened of either.

Is this a car known on this forum? Previously owned by a member?

My current car is a stock engine GTI 200 with same factory spec as this apart from DSG. Such a good car, always wished I got a DSG tho and wish it had more power. Thats why this ticks all the boxes. Lovely colour too. Just means having 2 cars at once while my old car sells. May be tricky with the current car market. My car currently has 91K and runs amazing

I'd bite his arm off at that spec for that price. And it's got a sunroof!

72K is not a high mileage for a Golf either.

^^^^ That I know!  :notworthy:

A loved car is like a loved horse - It's a mechanical horse. As Jaz The Stealthy Wolf says: It's a living breathing thing (or similar words).

I love my GTI more than any other car I have either owned or driven.
