How will this system sound

Thinking of buying some £200ish 2way speakers for the front,focal to be exact & running oem speakers at the back..will it sound ok or will it be lacking of bass

It depends if you're running them off a dedicated amp, which will greatly improve their performance. Plus if you want to improve low-end performance and reduce rattles / road noise, then sound-damping your doors is essential also  :happy2: but to answer your question, I'd hope that the Focals would sound better than stock speakers, back-to-back.

As I've found the hard way. If your using a pretty powerful amp then you dont really want to be sending the front speakers anything below about 60-80hz so if you really like your bass then yes you will miss having an amplified sub running 80hz and below.
