Which 2.0 TFSI/TSI Map/ECU upgrade do you have?
« on: September 19, 2012, 09:15:34 am »
Hi, In response to a thread on the US VWVortex site, I would be interested to see what the variation of maps are here in the UK. In the states APR had 75% with Revo on 6%. I think it would be very different here.
Let me know if ive missed a popular one out.
2.0TFSI/TSI only please :)

i did this a couple years back. The UK is definitely geared more towards REVO on the 2.0TFSI forums.

Hopefully things are changing now with the advent or better and more serious competition.
I believe this has already led to software improvments as companies try to out do each other, and hopefully price reductions in the near future.

Software improvements yes, but don't be expecting price reductions , the big tuners keep prices high

But is that because APR shut up shop and left the UK a while back?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

One thing u will prob find is that there has been a shift towards custom maps, eg R Tech. I have heard a lot of mixed things bout yr 'big names' so to speak, but as yet ive yet to hear even 1 negative comment bout Nick and his team! Yeah sure, ive been there a few times now, im clearly biased, but wat Nick and co dont know bout mapping aint worth knowing IMO!!!
