Well it was posted on vagoc a few days ago in a TTRS thread that REVO blew his engine so I'd imagine that's the reason. Think it was hush hush before, but its certainly public knowledge on vagoc now
Not on VAGOC so any idea on what happened eg cause?

I could not find it on VAGOC either, found Jonny's threads but can't see it?

Well, i am suprised this thread made it to page 3 beofre turning to sh*t. I will give it one more page then obviously it will get binned.  :indifferent:

With that attitude no wonder it turns to sh*t if people expect it to...  :surprised:

This thread is hear to inform me and others of the marketplace siutation from this forum's POV.

Anyway...

The results are starting to look what I expected them to. There is a decent spread of maps, but i knew Revo would be the clear leader, as its very 'recommended' when people come to forums I guess.
Its nice to see APR have a good representation though.

IMO both tuners apr and revo are the same. The differences were that the aftersales help of apr was shocking and revo was good , apr disappeared for a while then came back and said to awesome gti about supplying it , awesome gti then turned around and said only if they were the only distributer of the software in the uk ... so apr came back with a bang as most people like awesome gti and trust their judgment , for me every car is different and gets mapped different . 1 map on one person’s car will not act the same on another’s.... I would like to try an apr map 2 see what difference if any it would make on my car however I live in Scotland and do not want to have 2 travel down to awesome gti every time I need something tweaked . :happy2:

for me every car is different and gets mapped different . 1 map on one person’s car will not act the same on another’s....

....And different because of different hardware mods. For that reason I can understand the bigger tuners APR and Revo now adopting hardware to sell with their software - I think it doesn't necessarily suit all consumers though but that's another subject.

Although forum recommendations can have a strong influence on our buying decisions, I think that most products (in this case remaps) ultimately survive on their own merits.

R-Tech have gone from strength to strength on this forum.

This is incorrect. AwesomeGTI arent the sole APR distributers, theres loads of agents in the UK now.

I have revo on my current and had it on my old car too. Very happy with both.

Pov - don't you get bored Revo bashing? I get bored reading it.
