New shape 330D manual? A decent remap and an exhaust will see very close to 300bhp and 500lb/ft. That is pretty much on the pace of a stage 2 Edition 30.  :happy2:

Octavia vRS 2.0TDI CR170.  Loads of room, great chassis, greta interior, and stage 2 it and you'll see 230hp/360lbft!!

£14k will get you a low mileage DSG with loads of extras as well!!

Thanks not a bad shout, and make it look like Alex's... But then I'd want to keep my Scirocco R brakes, but would sell my Edition as is if I did...

It has to be VAG i think, my BMW days are over, don't like the newer stuff...

When I thought of getting rid f mine after the break in I kept coming back to the face lifted octavia hatch back in blue and as said above, you can pick up an extremely well spec'd model for sub £14k

What's changed your mind in less than 48 hrs???

you were smitten just a few days ago??

if your selling just to try cut running costs, your only better off in a 1.0 or 1.2 litre petrol city car.

Its hard to see past BMW M Sport diesels, the 330D 09 onwards is 245 bhp standard and is well received in reviews.

Damn right, awesome things, especially for a daily. Fast but good on fuel when chilling. Its a shame they only did 335d's with auto and not manuel/DCT. That would make an awesome car!

I hear the newer auto boxes are much better than they used to be but this depends on preference.

Kept up well with my stg2+ ed30 and would out handle it with ease.

Or as someone else mentioned, 330d:

Nothing's changed really, still an awesome car, just with fuel prices creeping up and doing 60miles a day, has got me thinking diesel...

...then I drive home, and it all changed lol... Just so effortless.

Just wanna get ideas if I do ever have to change to the dark side... ;-)
