Problems with taking seats out?

Did a full detail on the car yesterday and not happy with little bits down side of front seats and would like to take them out!

I have 3 door with heated leather.

Will error codes come up?

As long as you take off your battery since there are aribags in them you'll be fine mate ;)

Just remove the terminals from the battery is it?

Very true, it's the one reason why I havnt done it as of yet!
Had a 320d msport compact before this and that just had to be mapped
But still in love with the gti power, am finding I need more in the higher revs. But can't complain!

You can just take the positive off that should do ;)

I did 23,000 miles before I remapped - It's a good thing to get to know a new car well before considering a remap. Also, IF you ever remap you'll appreciate the differences more.

Hmm, I was taught that you should remove the negative (black wire) terminal first.

Always the negative /black terminal 1st otherwise if you touch the spanner etc to earth on the vehicle while removing the positive it will spark

That's a lot of work just to clean down the side of your seats, couldn't be arsed myself

.... x 2. I can't be arsed to go that far either. A car hoover with a narrow nozzle and brush heads is enough for me.

But I have witnessed a friend using a genuine sable paintbrush to remove dust from around a car door! They did subsequently get a prize for winning the show though.

No, you should map it after doing less than 200 miles in it.......that's my ethos
