Mk2 Golf GTi
« on: September 22, 2012, 09:14:43 pm »
Out grabbing lunch today and I saw a very clean looking grey mk2 Golf GTi.

I parked just 2 spaces down from it and noticed the big Porsche brakes straight away.

I got out, slightly, staring when the owner started walking towards it.

Turns out it has a 2.0l NA engine with the angriest sounding ITBs ever! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera in with me otherwise I'd have a few pics to show you all.

KW coilovers, fully polybushed and full roll cage etc etc. A very nice example of a fast road/ track car.

Sounds lovely.  That kind of weight, chassis mods and engine make a cracking motor!

Agreed! I couldn't get over how clean it was as well, the owner told me it was also still the original paint and it took 3 pads of machine polishing to come back to life, so to speak.
