Oh you are sh*tting me! Those black Monzas look soo much better than the Pescaras. As I've said before, VW should have kept the Monzas for the ED30 and used the Pescaras on the stock GTI. Or at least given us some lush ones like Vorx or similar.

i think they considered them to extreme for the UK market, and was worried it would affect sales

correct, but then neither does the majority of VW GTi owners :wink: , just us special lot :grin:

This raises the interesting question of what percentage of GTI owners are 'enthusiasts'? (Defining people like us as 'enthusiasts').
Judging by the percentage of other GTI drivers I see on the road who don't acknowledge a wave (or is it simply English reserve?), it's a sad indication. I guess that for some, the GTI badge only indicates a different model of Golf and merely satisfies their badge snobbism.
