Any ideas where I should start with her?

Personally I'd start with a detail; the Mk5 looks good when it's polished to perfection.

Hello and welcome...

Detail sounds like a good start as Tortaruga  said.

Then coilovers then choose some nice fitting wheels maybe.

No need to appolagise, all one big VAG family here.  :drinking:

What do you want from your Golf, show or go? Up to you my friend to decide which way your taking your motor.

Bigger wheels or different wheels, will probably mean new tyres as well.
Springs or Coilovers?
Map? Zorst?
Cosmetic mods?

There are some cracking soot chuckers on the forum with some lovely tasteful mods. Have a look through the "Members Rides" section and get some ideas.

going to start a little progress blog, or rather a saving blog as it's coming winted I'm going to keep her serviced and looked after over the winter months then see where it goes,
heres a pics anyway, I'll add a few more to the progress blog.....
