should i have to pay for a new milltek backbox
« on: October 30, 2012, 06:10:11 pm »
now i love the milltek exhaust since it was fitted 2 years ago but the only thing i was a little disappointed with is the back box that is low and can be seen
my milly with the ed30 tips on--just wish the back box was hidden better--

I was told at the time this is the only version available at the time.I sent milltek exhaust a email and they said there is a  a shallow one available--So should i have to pay for back box anothe one or will they supplier me with the one i wanted in the first place free of charge

If it wasn't available at the time, then you can't ask them to replace it for free, because they now do a better one. It is not like an engine map, it is hardware. All companies improve there products as part of development. Everything gets superseded.
If it was available when you bought yours then you would have had to tell them at the time that you wanted the shallower one.

You can try, but it would be like going to say Apple and saying look I bought this iPhone 3 a while ago, but since then you've brought out the 4 and 5 and I want a free upgrade. Wonder what they'd be saying.....

It is a difficult one, but I don't think you would get the result you are after. I suppose it can't do any harm to ask but after 2 years, I think you might be taking a run and jump.
I would tell them your story and sell your current one, then see if they will give you a good discount on the new version as a goodwill gesture, you won't lose to much on the upgrade.
