is ur break pad warning light on ? its more than likely just a sensor fault for mine ... i hope ... mine only comes on when it wishes 2
No mate,no brake pad light coming on,just the abs,esp and tyre pressure lights.
The first time they came on was just after i'd put my foot down going up a hill. The lights went out the next time i started my car.Now they come on every time a drive the car, usually if i'm not hanging around.

sounds like a faulty sensor . they are about 30quid mate .  :happy2:

which sensor are we talking about matey? the abs sensor? I wonder how easy it would be to identify which one it is(I assume there is more than one)
I'm getting it serviced in a week or so so hopefully it'll get sorted. I've read some horror stories of people paying £1200 to get things sorted

Took my gti to have the codes read today and there was no faults stored.
I'm booking it in for a service as it's about a month overdue now! Fingers crossed the tech can shed some light on the matter.I'll get him to check out the wheel bearings and abs sensors as Graeme suggested.Fingers crossed

Result. My mechanic checked my gti with his fault reader whilst doing a major service and found the fault to be rear right abs sensor. After a right carry on trying to get the new one to fit (rust build up in the hole making it difficult to fit the  new one) the lights on the dashboard have stayed off now for a week,so fingers crossed jobs a good 'un.
Just waiting for the bill now :scared:
