Hello!!
« on: September 25, 2012, 07:06:46 pm »
Hi all!

Had my Golf since November last year but recently I nearly sold it, didn't and now I'm so glad I didn't! Not introduced myself on here yet so thought I would!

Now I know I want to keep it for the next few years I'm going to spend time getting it just as I want it!

I need some new tires, wouldn't mind some that grip a bit better in the winter if anyone knows any gooduns? After that I want the RNS510, hoping to get my phone linked up for music too somehow, not sure how that works yet!

Anyway here are some pictures I took last Dec!

Thanks!

Dan

This would have been better if I wasn't stood directly in front of the sun...

Welcome along Dan!  :drinking:

GT and I looks like a good un fella. Are you after all round tyres for winter and summer or are you going to run 2 sets, one summer and another set for the winter?  If all year round, I suggest Goodyear Eagle F1 2 tyres, you will get loads of advice so go with what's in your budget and has decent reviews.

Thanks guys!

All round sounds like a good idea, the ones I have now are nearly worn to far so I would have to buy 2 sets otherwise and would rather not. Have to travel through the Lake District to work and in winter it can be a bit rubbish...

Will look at those tyres and see what they are like. No idea on budget, maybe up to £400 but will have a look.

^^^^ Try Camskill, £106 per corner for 225/40/18 XL92 for the GY F1 2's. You will need then fitting though. Or Tyre Shopper, same tyres for £127 fitted at a place of your choice.
