Ed 30 APR Stage 1 completed.
« on: June 11, 2009, 11:52:47 pm »
Hi Folks

Well I still haven't posted pics of my new car.

Well after my last MKIV with APR Stage 3+ and every conceivable thing done I knew my new car wouldn't remain OE for long what with a trackday looming.

Apart from knowing what APR are all about the product certainly suited my requirement ie discreet and the added benefit of fitting cruise and ease of program changing.

The car is superb, smooth progressive delivery and no hastle being a simple upgrade unleashing a serious wallop of torque/power

No dyno figures yet as Jim at Awesome directed me to my local APR dealer in Taunton.

Next on the list prior to trackday is brakes and suspension although I'm have tempted to leave it for it's first outing although I know the brakes will wilt after a few laps.

KW3's are the natural choice

Where's the best deals on big brake kits though??....USA?

AP?
Stoptech?
Tarox?
VWR?
Alcon?

Any suggestions?
Pearl Black Edition 30 3 Door. DSG. (3rd Edition 30)
Maybe on the too do list: APR Stage 2+, KW Clubsports, Brakes, Diff.

Depends how deep your pockets are really VWR do a really nice kit - at a price. Lots of people are happy with the R32/Cupra route, this is the route I will probably take at some point.
