Looking after washmitts
« on: June 02, 2009, 03:22:23 pm »
My two fave washmitts are both in tatters. They, quite literally, came apart in my hands.

Didn't realise I wasn't supposed to machine wash them.  :embarrassed:

So I've got a nice new sheepskin one.

What's the best way to make sure they're clean after use?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

The best way to make sure it's clean after your wash is to rinse it through well with clean cold water and then air dry

Hope this helps  :happy2:

Thanks.

I am currently washing all my MF cloths in preparation for tomorrow. I was meant to do a two-day detail - strip off all LSP on day 1 and polish + lsp day 2. But I've been playing with my new netbook so I'm gonna have to do a 2-day detail in ~9 hours tomorrow!

Exactly - Lots of clean water rinsing and wringing under the tap and then allow to dry naturally.

I ruined my first sheep the same way.

I use these,

I've had the same 2 for over a year now, and they still look great after washing them in

You can get them at most detailing stores, and they last a lot longer than the woollen ones.  :happy2:
