Stage 2 bluefin K03
« on: September 18, 2012, 09:42:17 pm »
Hi guys i know its been covered before but just really wanting to double check before i buy anything really, fitted an ITG maxogen open filter induction kit aswell as a full TBE decat BCS powervalve system and installed stage 2 and 1st 2nd and 3rd gears it pulls all the way to the redline :happy2: Put it into 4th 5th or 6th though and at about 5krpm it seems to lose power and slow down now it was on stage 1 and never had this bother before!

Is it a case of buying uprated HPFP internals and thats it? or will that need another map from superchips, also is there other things i should be checking.
Just last week i fitted the new revision G diverter valve.

Any help would be great guys

Thanks Dave

get some logs done with VCDS. That will help you find the answer  :happy2:

Rollers and get the diagnosis , or log it to find the fault. KO3 with a SC map should run on stock internals in the fuel pump.

I've noticed a definite flat spot / hesitation / fuel cut at ~5kRPM with SC S2 map... it doesn't do it everytime, so I suspect a fuel cut... so probs. HPFP upgrade would solve it.

Love to hear if you get to the bottom of it without any HPFP upgrades.

With a healthy stock hpfp and follower your not going to max it out and get fuel cut with the right mapping.  Running the BWA AXX injectors with the stock pump at 116-119bar on stage 2 is fine.    If your only running the stock rail pressure  behind the injectors then the ecu will end up seeing additive on the fuel trims,  short term fuel trim deviations exceed 15%+ then triggers the initial ecu engine protection by reducing the n75 duty to reduce a little power at the top end.

Just to add I changed from bluefin to a map by PDT and got 271bhp and 299lbft so I put it down to an incorrect map by bluefin
