Number plate holder removal?

Can any one tell me how to get this off without it snapping? Haha thanks

Take the front grill section (chrome part)  off and pop it off from the reverse side, 4 lugs hold it in place and bobs your uncle.

^^^^ fell off or half inched?

Having now gone to smoothed grill and magnetic front plate, I carry my old one as a spare in the boot (also with magnets attached) in case the one on the car gets "misplaced"
