MFD playing up

I have the midline MFD this morning the bottom half was not displaying anything when driving home,when I stopped at home and turned car on and off it came on,anybody had a similar problem and any ideas what is problem
MK5 Golf GTI DSG, 5 door 05 plate ,multi function wheel with paddles, leather interior,cruise control,parking sensors,armrest.

All I can say is my MPG reader is going nuts. It reads 18 mpg then a second later 118mpg then 7mpg etc etc...?! Anyone had this too?

That's your current MPG, it is constantly changing. Toggle through the menus to find average consumption, etc.

When I first got it it was fine but now it's just going from 117mpg to 10mpg to 6mpg etc etc like every 1 second... Mad?!
