Was asked by the previous owner of my edition30 to give his edition35 a detail ( he had a mk6 R inbetwwen).
So on arrival at his house it looked like this, having covered just under 3,000 miles......
Just general road grime.
The usual methods were done, up first arches, wheels, calipers and tyres. Then the car was snow foamed, used valet pro detailing brushed to agitate areas that needed it, badges etc.
This was then power rinsed and washed using the safe two bucket method, rinsed again then usi9ng AS tardis removed tar spots froim effected areas.
The car was then rewashed and clayed using VP yellow and megs last touch, which brought it too look like this..
Then the car was taken into the garage, dried off using ultra plush towels and masked up ready for polishing, and enhancement was decidied on to remove light swirling, marring and hazing from areas.
The gloss black B pillars
The gloss black mirror casing
During the polishing stage, which was via rotary using a blue 3m pad and Megs #205
The rest of the car was then treated in the same fashion, apart from one area that appeared to be from an bird dropping removal..
This was removed using megs #105 and chemical guys hex pad
I then applied chemical guys extreme top coat via Megs G220 da with a grey 3m pad, dressed the plastics and polished the exhauast pipes
before..
00 grade wire wool and raceglaze metal polish..
not perfect but alot better, i couldnt seem to shift some of the staining.
The car was then given a coat of Victorias concours wax, i love this stuff on red. The glass was done with duragloss rain repel cleaner, tyres with duragloss wet look and wheels sealed with poorboys.. and a final wipe down with Zaino Z-8
The finished car
Thanks for looking
