Pirelli owner
« on: October 07, 2012, 05:54:17 pm »
Hi All

I'm the proud new owner of a Mkv Pirelli. Only a week into ownership and loving it so far! I traded in a evo x 330 so was expecting to be missing the power but the in gear pull from the golf is more than a match. The build quality is also streets ahead of the Mitsubishi

Only issue I have is the Pirelli centre caps are starting to chip. Anyone know where I can get some replacements.

Also ordered a blufin stage one remap. Looking forward to even more pull but a little worried if it will be unusable? It may be my driving style after getting used to the AWD of the evo but it does seem to spin up already.  Do people find it a handful on a daily drive?

Cheers!

You will love the additional power from Bluefin, your pirelli will with that additional power, more than match your old car. I drove the fq300 and it was much slower even when mine was at 280 and stage 1 bluefin on my DSG Ed30.

Are you DSG aswell?

Dealers for the centre caps, not too pricey to buy even from them.

Photos would be great   :happy2:

Thanks for the info. I will have a chat with local dealer and see if I can pick some up.

It's a manual one. I didn't drive the DSG but had the SST in the EVO. It was amazing most of the time but in town just didn't feel nippy enough when you needed it. Off the line the EVO was amazing but felt big to drive. The golf so far just works for all situations. Couldn't be happier with it even the MPG

I will have to take some photo's and put them up
