Hi
I am looking to get my 2008 Edition 30 a little more planted on the road. I came from having a modified JDM Subaru STI and am really missing the ability to put my foot down in 1st/2nd and having the wheels not spin up!
Having said that I do love my ED30! Its so much nicer to live with than the scooby and the fuel economy is amazing!
I have decided on a full set of Goodyear F1's and then 4 wheel alignment with ( if I can ) a little bit of fast road setting.
I also want to get some form of anti lift kit install, so that I can try and keep the power down ( next step will be Revo )
To get the WALK installed is going to be circa £160 + an hour or so labour so lets say £60.
It has been noted that it is also recommended I replace the front bushing at the same time. This is £45 or so with Powerflex but people seem to be recommending all over many forums Superpro as a better alternative, which seems to be about £90 + fitting so another 1hr or so £60
So to have the WALK fitted properly by a popular VAG specialist I have been quoted £385, which is perfectly reasonable I think
Now due to my research I have seen the Superpro bushing replacement which has Antilift built in. So that's £90 + hour so fitting so I can guess at about £150ish fitted.
Is the WALK route really worth double the price of the Superpro?
Does the WALK keep a MK5 that much more planted or do they do pretty much the same thing? ( That me ( spirited ) on the road is going to notice, I am not a track person )
I have googled.. Read both ( below ). But I am now totally lost and in need of some advice from you good people
