Thats it... basically an Über high quality 'ikea' house. Designed and built in Germany and then assembled on site.

Great programme but McCloud is a bit of a knob jokey!

Lady down the road from my Mother In Law as had a Huf Haus built near Sherbourne in Dorset and WOW, what a house. Don't think it could ever be described as a "homely" place though. They are a bit sterile but still WOW,

Maybe I am a bit more old fashioned but I much prefer an old Barn Conversion (perferably Stone Built) with a Farmhouse Kitchen/Diner  :happy2:

The couple on last nights' program (modern house located on river beside various old-style houses) really did my head in, especially when the woman said that she wanted to knock the neighbours' old houses down. I'd much rather have had one of their houses than theirs, which was empty, echoey (sp) and was more like a private health clinic than a home. Garden was alright though...

Totally agree, there is a place for these modern "boxes" and It was not sat inbetween period houses on the thames, saying that in another 100+ years they will all likely be under water anyway  :signLOL:

I loved their new house, its exactly what id go for.  however it did tower over the neighbours house and completely blocked their view down the river.  She was a pompus snob arse though, and needed a puch in the face......... :fighting:

I watched about 5 seconds of it and that women was so stuck up, i didnt watch the rest of it. That 'white box' isnt my idea of a nice functional home.

I didn't mind the house but how on earth that got accepted as it's hardly "in keeping" with those around it.

She needed to have a word with herself as well.  :fighting:
