Hello from ant-vw
« on: October 10, 2012, 05:38:01 pm »
Hi all,

Just wanted to say hello!

In the last month I have become the happy owner of a mk5 gt tdi in steel grey. 3 door :) this is my second car and it replaces my first car a mk4 golf.

I have just been to the scrap yard and have purchased an arm rest, with iPod port built in, 3d rear badge, black auto dimming rear view mirror and a newer rcd 300 mp3 radio as mine has some where. But I couldn't get the cable out from the iPod unit into the car. It didn't go into the radioas expected? It was a 2007 though. So I'm just thinking of getting rid of the iPod unit and just having a cubby hole.

Future plans are to purchase some hella xenon look headlights  :happy2:

Here's a pic:

^^^^ your more than welcome, all one big VAG family here.  :drinking:

Car looks nice and tidy, been years since I hunted the scrap yards, used to really enjoy myself hunting for bits back in the day. Nice to see your already on the slippery slope of modding!

Hella Units are about £350ish IIRC and geniune second hand Xenons for the Mk5 usually go for around the £500 mark which should include the ballasts, igniters and bulbs. The difference in light is truly incredible.
