Dropped Doors
« on: October 13, 2012, 09:15:30 pm »
Well guess i should say hi as this is my 1st post

Just picked up a 3 door GT Tdi... just have a question with regards the doors did they suffer from the same issues as the MK4s with dropping? drivers door has dropped ever so slightly, is it just a case of moving the catch plate on the B pillar?

Thanks Andy

Sorry this doesn't tell you how to do it but gives you specs of what the gaps should be. http://www.my-gti.com/2722/body-panel-gaps-and-shut-lines-volkswagen-golf-mark-v

Yup, the driver's door on my Mk5 GTi dropped not long after the car was delivered from the factory.  It was adjusted under warranty and has been fine since.
