Just thought I'd say hello. Now I don't actually have a mk5 GTi - I've got a Jetta sport - but I'm hoping to pick up some useful tips anyway. Picked it up on Tuesday - already put 18" phaeton rims and upgraded audio in it!

All of these Canbus things / cruise control etc are new to me! I did use to be an Audio installer professionally about 4/5 years ago - and fitting a headunit in this took me like 15 minutes inc getting the key live from the dash.

I maybe in touch soon to get some help / advice!

Picking up another front end at the weekend to smooth an paint body coloured with a relocated numberplate (offset  like an Alfa) and i've already got 312mm carriers and discs to fit. Just sold the rims off my Fabia (8x17 Comp TH's in lamborghini grey - I almost cried!) So i'll use the £££ to buy a decent set of coilovers.
