What I know that is new...is Austin says he just set a VW fwd K04 1/4 mile record of 11.6s @ 117mph...beating AWE Tuning's 11.8s @ 117mph.

I've been speaking with GIAC over the past few months...Austin left, but there's still good people helping me out. I was told a guy in Florida beat Austin's record...can't remember the ET but the trap was 118mph. Was able to achieve it by adding a secondary tank pump for low pressure help using the GIAC lpfp kit: http://www.giacusa.com/news_and_media/display_news.php?id=208

Finding this all out is due to my tune starving for fuel at the moment. I ran another K04 tune from DriverMotorsport. They turned my LPFP duty cycle to 98% and had my HPFP request at 142.5 bar. I since switched back to GIAC's K04 HO tune but had low fuel pressures dropping off to 3.5 bar, with 4.0 bar your minimum, and my hpfp request wouldn't go over 110 bar. I looked at all options including the GIAC additional pump and decided to go with the Torqbyte PM3. It will double the amps feeding the lpfp but work with the ecu's signals to the PWM/controller. I can still upgrade lpfp's with it but the oem lpfp may work if not completely shot from the excessive duty cycle with DM tune or a simple drop-in lpfp replacement.
