Just been reading the thread and as Keith says we both have Giac maps on our Ed30's mines been on since last Feb and no probs what so ever and rate Star Performance :happy2:

Robbin- The maps can be switched when on the move but I was advised not to change them will the car was under load

Hope this helps :happy2:

I think i am definately going to go with GIAC when i get it done. I spoke with a company called 'startler' in sheffield who deal with GIAC and they said they have a ed30 demo so i am going to go and have a try. I would have had it done already but i think my insurance is going to be an issue

I now have bluefin  :driver:

And i love it   :happy2:

I chose it over giac because it was cheaper, that was the decider really, and the fact that there is a dealer close by.

Hi, Stage 2 GIAC software for the UK is pending a release date ...and yes it does cater specifically for High pressure fuel pumps. Good results have been seen from testing in Greece so watch this space.

Are there any Giac dealers near Somerset?

Similar maps to APR I believe.

Do they switch through the cruise control?

Maybe on the too do list: APR Stage 2+, KW Clubsports, Brakes, Diff.

no, they switch through a hand held switch that you plug in the diagnostic port

I live in Bristol and faced a similar dilemma which is why I went revo in the end (greater network of dealers).
Your closest GIAC dealer is PJ Motorsport in Birmingham or Regal in Southampton although there's been no update on a release date for the newer code.

When you say there is a different map for DSG due to the torque limit? What is the torque limit of the DSG box?

(oops, this should be in the bluefin thread - sorry)
