Missed MOT.......

When I was getting my paperwork togeather the other day in preperation for selling I couldn't find my current MOT. Thought nothing of it and as I knew it was going into VW I just thought I'd get a duplicate from them when they had the car..

Told the lady who was booking me in today, she goes off with my paperwork, comes back and said "there has not been a MOT issued to your car for 18 months" (6 months overdue) :surprised: 

Needless to say its now getting done at VW :ashamed:

No wonder I couldn't find it  :signLOL:

I did about 3 months unwillingly, so you beat me.

Crazy how fast they creap up hey? I've always got into the practive of MOT and Tax at the same time so it's an expensive, but consistent time of the year :D

In 16 years of driving I've never even waited till the last week, never mind missing it by 6 months  :signLOL:

Your lucky to get away with it especially with all the anpr cameras about now, my mate got tugged in his car the other day for his MOT being 3weeks out of date and got a £120 fine and nearly had the car taken off him (got recovery home)

I'm quite lucky in that mine is due when my service is due - so I always know to book it in for both.

I assume had you had to make an insurance claim you'd have problems without a current MOT certificate?
