My de-chroming mission is nearly complete.
Side fins and grill are wrapped in 3M gloss black wrap.
The lower grills have had a good deep clean, primed and sprayed gloss black.

Rear badge also wrapped and colour coded behind.

Dirty but looking better plateless

Some chrome still present around the windows.
Does anyone know of any breakers selling any Jetta s door trim (it comes black) or 07-on golf (5door) trim?
I am Somerset based but would travel or pay postage (if too far)
Thanks for looking

Where do you plan on running your front plate?  :happy2: Car looks very nice now and I like the contrast with silver + black. I think the front end is totally transformed now. Did you fill the wholes for the numberplate surround before you wrapped it? Or are you goign to refit that with your plate?

Very nice! Keep it up

Cheers Chris
Filled plate holder holes with araldite and then Isopon P38, sanded with various grades 240-2500 of wet n dry sand paper, then wrapped. I like the results, nearly bought Danny's on here but thought i'd have a go myself. Plate sits in window for now, not 100% where im gonna mount it.

I've just done the same with the front and smoothed it. I bought an Alfa 156 number plate plinth & a spare clip in section that goes into the bumper below the headlight (its where the headlight washers would pop out of - but i dont have them!) And screwed the alfa plinth to it - I'll get pics up once its done
