Are saloons welcome? Interior update
« Reply #46 on: December 15, 2012, 03:26:40 pm »
Here we go then as promised an update in pictures of de-chroming my car.
The overall picture

Steering wheel and dash trim  (I know i need a flat bottom wheel!)

Drivers door trim inc door pull

passenger side trim inc. glove box pull but not door handle yet (It Started to rain)

Glove box pull

Gear gater (need to do handbrake knob)

I have about enough wrap to de-chrome the window surrounds once i have figured out how to remove them.

Thanks for looking.

That's cool! I like the wrap on the glove box handle. Did you take it off?

No, i must have been a contortionist in a previous life, being 6"2 it was NOT easy to do.

.
I like the whole concept of de-chroming / de-silvering the car interior. It's just a personal taste thing and I happen not to like all the silver bits on the Mk6 Golf interior. It's supposed to communicate luxury and I suppose it does but I much prefer a more sporty ride to a luxury cruise.

Well these arrived earlier for the winter tyres. Was worried as they are from ebay (you never know what will turn up) but they are genuine, straight and clean, i suspect audi.
I have asked if any one knows their name in another thread.
V0 013 Ronal 7x17 et 45

Faces have been resprayed mat black from silver, bargain for less than £160 IMO
Centre cap has audi logo but also vw,seat and skoda part numbers on.

Thanks for looking.

Very straightforward no-fussing alloy design and just right for a Winter wheel look in my opinion  :happy2:
