Hello from Leeds.
« on: October 19, 2012, 06:33:19 pm »
Finally got round to posting on here. I've had a 2005 5-door GTI now for well over 6 months, and I reckon it's about time I started to get involved and see whats possible from this awesome car!

I took some snaps when I was on holiday with my Grandparents and family in Dumfries. Let me know what you think.

Cheers,

T

Many thanks for the kind welcome! Need to start a build thread. Anyone got any recommendations for a starting point on modifications?

Welcome :happy2:

I think your photos show how good looking the standard car is. That includes the black skirts and rear valance. My opinion of course - I think most people prefer a degree of colour coding.

So mods I'd say:
Get her running perfectly. Check DV, cam follower & PCV.
A proper detail.
Quality tyres
A good custom map.

Alternatively:
22" mirror alloys
Extreme camber
Underbody lights
Flames

I'm in Lincoln now but I spent most of my life in Garforth, Leeds.

I miss Leeds like mad tbh. :sad1:

I am definitely going to get the rear ed30 lights soon and a good set of tyres all round when I can afford it. Then at the start of next year I think i'll do a full detail and paint correction and save up for a custom map.

Looking forward to getting the car to where I want it.
