TBE Question...?
« on: October 20, 2012, 10:09:21 am »
I have a non res Miltek cat back exhaust.

Pretty soon I'll be on the look out for the full TBE system. As you guys know the Miltek TBE with sports cat is bloody pricey , so I was wondering if anyone has had experience in fitting another possibly cheaper system to the Miltek cat back , or is it a case of Miltek will only fit Miltek??

Help appreciated  :happy2:

Cue the next BCS thread :signLOL:

Seriously though if you already have the Milltek cutback surely it would still be cheaper to get the downpipe from them than buy a full new system?

No perhaps you misunderstood. Obviously I'm not going to buy a whole new system as I already have the catback. My question was would another system other than Miltek fit my already installed cat back?

I'm pretty sure any good tuner/garage worth their reputation could fit a sleeve that would put two different systems together?

I asked about the possibility of fitting a 2.5' Milltek downpipe to a 3' Milltek cat-back system recently and some guys I use said no problem.

Andy.

Yes as said you will need a sleeve / reducer depending on the exhaust you are looking at mating to the milly !
You never know though it might just fit ! If you specify to the manufacturer that you want to couple the your down pipe / cats to the standard cat back ?

Your system is designed to fit to the oem cat so your milltek tbo back will have the same connector as the oem cat back I'd imagine ? So if specify that you want your cats to run with the oem cat back your final fitting on the cats should then mate with your cat back I would of thought
