That beautiful f***#*g yellow light - now with log files
« on: October 21, 2012, 08:35:06 am »
I had it with my MK4 GTi with full TBE (milltek)
I had it with my MK5 GTi with full TBE (Milltek)
Now I have it with my S3 also full TBE (Milltek)
What is the story with Milltek and this issue????  :fighting:

My MK4 GTi I had to drive all the way to Bicester and Milltek had to change a part to sort it.
My MK5 GTi (before I went Revo) AMD had to change their map (something to do with fuelling) before the light went out.
Now Revo Stage 2+ since December last year and the fooking thing comes on again.......

Any ideas??

I guess your talking abut the emissions light.

Could be something linked with your down on power issues. might help identify a problem when you have the car checked out.

If alls been ok since December it may not be exhaust/map related pal, get the car scanned and see if anything has been logged  :happy2:

I had that light when my coil pack went, but I suppose you'd know if it was that.

Hard to say mate, your best getting it scanned rather than trying to guess

I had that in my R32 and turned out it was the CAT which VW replaced under warranty fortunately.

Yeah, but this is a Milltek CAT, and I always seem to have this problem in some form or another with the Milltek system  :sad1:

Funny u should post this as I have the exact same light on my Revo edition 30 with blueflame TBE. According to the prev owners it's something that happens with stage 1 cars & when/if at stg2 it dissapears. Doubt that's true?

Could this be logged as a fault on vagcom?

Any fault that turns on a dash warning light will be stored as a fault code on the ecu and can be read with vcds.

Not yet, this just came on this morning.  I'm only getting the revised map when I get her serviced on the 30th.
I assume she's OK to drive till then without getting this looked at??

Where are you Jussa? Get it scanned in the first instance, anything other than this is going to be speculation tbh.
