Easy way to tell if the PCV is fubar'd is to pull the dipstick on idle. If it coughs and splutters then the PCV is ok.

Not sure about it affecting boost Gaz.

Well... as regal are REVO dealers they should be able to liaise with REVO HQ to make sure its not a map issue.

What happens if it doesn't cough and splutter??

knew I'd read it somewhere, the standard valve uses positive boost pressure to close, so if it springs a leak boost pressure would be lost????

How come a fooked PCV messes up your idle? Not much boost being developed at tickover.

Probably because the vacuum in the intake is pulling pressure on the crankcase....

no idea...  :signLOL:

Can't see it being the map this time.  Been on for too long before the fault has come up.  Would have come on within a day.

Has your oil level risen?

You thinking fuel in the oil Alex?

Check Pcv, take dipstick out and if it coughs splutters its working fine, if stays the same then broke... how is your idle?

Have you had the map update?

What plugs are you using? Not burning the fuel at tick over, too cold a grade?

Ecu obviously chucking few in to compensate... any other sensors? but surely they would throw a fault?

No issues I can feel when driving  I had my oil light come on about 3 weeks ago so topped up with 1 litre of Castrol Edge.  Didn't think much of it as its the first time she's complained about oil since her service in December last year.
So probably can rule out the fuel in the oil, unless I need to check that again??
Not sure what plugs they are, I think whichever Audi had recommended last year, probably Bosch - service was done by Awesome GTi when they were still Revo.
Oil in the fuel, could that be the HPFP??  :scared:
