Not a good start to GTI owner ship. Wonder if you have a faulty coil pack as there was a re-call on them?.A VW dealer can tell you tho when i phoned about my 08 ED30 i was told the coils were ok.

Well got the tax issue shorted he knocked 100quid of the price of the Golfs tax which worked out about right because there was 7 months left

...........But 1 BIG issue pulled up out side my house and a yellow engine light has lite up on the dash it say its something to do with the emissions????? :sad1:

Is it still drivable?????

Apart from had an incredible drive home and no I didn't even give it the beans

You need to get it scanned, but if you have warranty on the car it would be best to contact the dealer you bought it from

No not the best start to ownership but god she's Loverly to drive.

I've spoken to the garage and he said he will sort it wherever but because I'm not local to him he said book it in to get a scan and if it costs he will cover it and any other problems he'll sort it but just gave her a good clean out and looked down and the light has gone out, is this normal fingers crossed it'll stay off.

I'll be ringing VW first thing in the morning to see if there is any recalls that haven't been covered.

Thanks for all the help guys if I get chance I post a pic or two.
