Coding keys
« on: October 22, 2012, 01:37:15 pm »
Can VCDS still be used on coding the immobiliser for keys on 2006+ Golfs?
I have the 4 digit PIN for my cluster but just wondering if someone has done this successfully with VCDS on the MK5.

Cheers

You only need something like Commander to extract the SKC.

Since he already has the SKC then it can be used to login to the immo with VCDS.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Tried many times using VCDS and the login code.
Manage to sucesfully code the original key but the spare key does not code.
Hickleys advise this can only be done at the dealers using a precoded key on 2007+?

Any ideas ?

Have you put a 0 before the SKC when using VCDS?

Where did you buy the chip? I've bought off ebay and had wrong chips sent, they all look the same but are different.
