A few days ago when we had all the rain I went through a bit of a flood. Turned out to be deeper than I thought, but at 4am in the dark and rain it was hard to tell
The engine coughed and spluttered a few times but once the ECU dried out it ran fine and still does.
Problem is that I have now got the dreaded condensation in the front lights. The fog lamps appear full misted and the headlamps have a two inch band of condensationacross the bottom of the lense. I've seen lots of advice as to how to deal with back lights but if any one has suggestions for the front, I'd be glad to hear them.
I'm thinking of taking the foglights out and trying to dry them some how. I'm more concerned with the headlamps though. With damp in there it will eventually attack everything else. Normally I'd park the car up in the garage for a few days, take everything apart and just let it all air dry. However, thanks to buying a 'winter project' my Golf is now living outside so thats not an option.
