hello hello

just joined on the reccomendation of saintsteve as im in the process of looking to buy a car for the road and one for track days. ive just started to break my current car which is a very high spec 500bhp rx7 which took me 6 yrs to get to the current state.

i was looking to sell the car whole but the market for such a high spec is naff with no one wanting to part anywhere what they are worth these days. its a shame but i sold 3/4's of the car within 24 hrs  :)

i have a bit of history with vw's having done my apprentiship with my local vw dealer many many years ago although i did not stay in the motor trade and currently run a small furniture repair company that specialises in leather renovations.

the vw's ive owned over the years include

2 x scirocco gtx's
2 x mk 1 scirocco storms
1 x mk scirocco storm
1 x mk 1 golf gti that was a project that i dropped an ex slick 50 racing engine in that ran around 200bhp and was lots of fun  :)
ive had many other cars that include several rx7's an rx8 a prelude vtec and many many more

right now i have a decision to make so i will start a thread for some opinions

i think all that is left for me to say is    HELLO EVERYONE

Welcome along mate  :happy2:

One of my good friends used to have a mildly tuned FD RX7, looked similar to yours whilst squinting heavily....well it was black with black wheels!! Great cars when they aren't eating rotor tips and running out of fuel every third lamppost

Get yourself a tuned Edition 30 and you wont go far wrong, great all round cars, probably not as exciting as an RX7 but dependable and usable.

Mike

2008/58 Tornado Red Edition 30 (No. 1853) 5dr DSG - Gone but never forgotten
2017/66 Tornado Red Golf R 5D - Lasted 6 months before being sold on
Still have a TFSI in the family - 2009/59 Audi S3 8P facelift Stage 2 tuned
Oh and a Mk1 Golf GTI cabriolet
