Reinstall the oe map and see if the fault codes reappears. If it does then it is a mechanical issue. If it doesnt it will be a software issue. Have you fitted a new pcv valve as that can cause the same fault code of the check valve is slightly sticking open.

Cool will give that a try, will be great if its just the software! Nope original PCV.  I've checked its ok by removing the oil filler cap.  It ran rough when I did this so I'm assuming that means the PCV is ok??
Just had a look at the link.  sounds sort of similar except the noise I'm getting isn't a flutter.  More like the wastgate is open briefly rather than open/shut/open/shut.
A mate told me today it sounds like I'm getting a boost spike.  Which would mean that everything was working as it should be as the system is protecting itself from overboosting by opening the wastegate.  So...what would cause a boost spike? The software? It's been perfect the last 10k i've had it on for, why start spiking now?
Initialy I thought my problem was either the N75 (not checked yet) or the charge air pressure sensor G31 (not checked yet) but now that my mate said this I have no idea! :scared:

Any thoughts anybody???

I've been running with the original software for 2 days now and tomorrrow i'll be getting a look at it with vagcom to see if its still throwing up the same boost pressure regulation fault.  TBH the car is that dead now without the bluefin I would'nt notice the dip in power ha!  Looking at the rev counter during full throttle everything seems perfectly linear and normal and you cant feel it surging anymore so I'm guessing it just happens with the higher bosst pressure on the bluefin software.

I had once or twice a slight hesitation on full throttle with it. Only happened a couple of times.

What fuel you running it on?

Running it on super unleaded 98.  There is only two petrol stations within 30 miles of me that does super lol!
Put the map back on last night and cleaned what I think was the G31 Charge air pressure sensor (I'll put pics on tonight).  It was slightly damp with oil.  After a test run it's safe to say the problem is still there but now I think there is a new problem...the clutch is starting to go! FML! :sad1:
