had a complaint at work today

had a customer in today with a Bmw m5 that had a puncture on is rear tyre which was a 255-30-19 bridgestone run flat tyre on it..I explained to the customer i can fix the puncture but it will take longer than the normal 20 minutes or so as it is a run flat tyre as they are pigs to get of the rim and more importantly i didn't want to scratch is alloy..Got the job done in 30 minutes and got the customer to look at is alloy to show there was no damage to it-- i thought he was happy with the job but he complaint to my boss saying it took to long

200 miles:( so is it possible to remove a tyre without touching the face of the wheel. My fitter says not so had to cover face with a cloth and tape up edge last time to protect it. Dreading next tyre change

Andy, just be thankful that you're not like him!  The attitude of some people makes me    You can go home knowing you've done a decent job, he can go home thinking that he's the clever one.

it is possible yes but all depends on what tyre machine he is using--i use a hydraulic one where the arm doesn;t move

cheers mate--i am really really fussy with alloys--i treet every alloy as if it was on my car and take my time on them--even if it means 10 minutes longer
