I'm currently listening to a lot of Andrew Weatherall's favourite music. He's the most innovative British DJ of the last 25 years, was heavily involved with the start up and progression of UK house music through Shoom, Junior Boy's Own, Sabresonic, and the Two Lone Swordsman.
Albums I'm currently really into of his:
Fabric 19
Nine O'Clock Drop
Masterpiece - Andrew Weatherall (3 disc Ministry of Sound release)
The sabres of Paradise - Haunted Dancehall
Stay Down - 2 Lone Swordsman
Watch the Ride - Andrew Weatherall
The music is so innovative, and whilst a lot of the above are him mixing the work of others, a huge amount of the tracks have been revolutionised by his own remixes of them, or are tracks of his own production. He's my absolute DJ hero, and was almost single handedly resposnisble for getting Indy-Dance going in the early 90's with heavily reworked tracks by James, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, The Cure, Stone Roses etc.
