Did you use LED's or wedge filaments?

Did your light output look equal as well?

I used standard 501 bulbs.

They are a little brighter than the outer ones, could do with a lower wattage bulb to be honset.

The problem is fitting 501's as there is absolutely no room between boot lid skins!!

Nice, so how did you get around the bulb out error?

disable bulb monitoring on whatever light source you take the power from

Cool, I've seen that option :happy2:

Last question - did you take your feed for each cluster from just one side, or did you take the left feed from the left and right feed from the right (if you know what I mean)?

I took the feed from one side run it into the boot lid than run the power from the one side.
Technically, it shouldn't be done like this. But it works  :happy2:

This is correct, cold lamp diagnosis.

Sorry, being in the trade I talk like everyone else understands what I'm talking about,

I might rig up this setup and take left power from nearside loom and right from offside loom. That way it's not drawing the load from one wire, see if it still results in a canbus error, although i think it will.

I got swarf in front of the reflectors after drilling the holes, looks a bit of a mess, but this was just a test to see if i could get it to work.
Prob wont be doing it again

What would be a less powerful yet suitable bulb?
Standard: Rear parking sensors, Parrot Bluetooth
Retro fitted: MFSW buttons, RCD510, Boot pop, Black Monza II, Xenons, Audi jacking points, open fog light grills.

Still contemplating doing this, what about a bulb like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Pcs-T10-W5W-5050-SMD-Car-LED-Wedge-Light-Bulbs-Red-12V-/130621576560?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e69a71570?

Small profile, and tiny power draw so it may not cause an error.
Would just be concerned with the colour match in using an SMD against a filament wedge.

How about taking the feed from the number plate light and fitting some non-canbus leds(low resistance) in the number plate bulb holder i.e. the extra bulbs in the rear light would create the needed resistance for the cold lamp diagnosis?
