I think that'll be the case.

Have you taken a feed from the number plate lights and turned off the lamp diagnosis for number plate?
No errors and good light output?

So far have only bench tested them, not been on the car yet but really impressed how well the light the circles.

Same here, going to trial fit them once it's dark. Really wanted to avoid filaments but think I'll need them for a good overall look.

Jay, what's your thoughts on the heat melting the plastics? I took the SMD's off going to go with filaments

Dont  think the bulbs will get hot enough to melt the plastic had mine bench testing for about 5 mins and it didnt even melt the hot glue that i used to hold them in with. I have just made sure i have left about a 5mm gap between the bulb and the inner lense.

Cool, I was going to hot glue them lightly to hold, and blob silicon around it.
If you get any further on over the weekend I'd be interested how you wire them to the car/results of it.

Yer still got them installed. not had any issues with them. One of the bulbs did blow so had to re-solder and silicone a new one in but only a half hour job.

One side done and temporarily wired into the rear power socket to test,
Other side needs slight modification to fit as is to close to the metalwork in the boot, then the horrible task of finding a feed.

Looking good, how close is the glow to the original light in real life?
