You will need to tap into the speaker outs from the rear of the RNS. It does not have any pre-outs or sub pre-outs. You will then either need LOC to change the signal from high level out to RCA which will plug into your active sub box or run cables straight to it if it accepts speaker inputs. Hope this clears it up for you?

LOCs just tap in - you splice into the existing wires

As for remote wire, take this off the rear 12V socket in the boot.

speakers should still work , remote wire just needs a switched live , so you could tap into anything that has power when ignition is on , so cigarette lighter , heater control pannel etc

Yep, as above. If you tap into the existing wires, you will still be feeding the other speakers so they will still work. And make sure you use a switched live, otherwise you will end up powering the sub 24/7. Some of the newer units take high level inputs which means you do not need LOC and can run speaker wires straight to the amp.
