Does this auto electrician know what he is talking about?

I have been told the following in relation to fitting a connect2 kit:


Hi,  The Connects2 interface will plug into your headunit port instead of the cd changer...... This will make the changer unusable.

Can someone advise if this is accurate? Thanks

Afraid so , thats the same as the OEM iPod adaptors.
