Sprained ankles
« on: October 31, 2012, 08:12:37 am »
As Drake said they ain't nothing to play with.

Currently on my 4th day of being sat on my arse. Can't drive, live in top floor flat so can't go out. Pretty dull.

How long will this one take to go down?

I think it's his girlfriend's high heels he insists on wearing! The crunched up toes are another byproduct of such shoes.

Not been anywhere pal. Just woke up with it.

All see how I get on by Friday, and see if it eases up. Bags of peas on rotation.

Wrap the peas in a wet towel and don't use for more than 15 mins at a time to reduce risk of skin damage. Elevation is also important, keep the leg up whilst you're not walking about

1. Nobody uses compression anymore.

2. You don't get DVTs in the foot/ankle.

3. MTFU

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I will see your ankle and raise you this ankle!!!

I ruined my ankle on the footy pitch 13 weeks ago, snapped the middle ligament and partial tear to both the outer and the inner ligaments.
Never been in so much pain in my life.  The crack, snap and crunch as i went over on it will live with me forever.
This pic was taken about 3/4 weeks post the injury.

I would get yourself to the doctor asap if you genuinely dont remember hurting it.

Keep it moving too. Just bend your ankle up and down about 10 times every hour. Ankles are a nightmare once they stiffen up!
