drivers door stuck
« on: October 31, 2012, 03:31:32 pm »
Please can someone help me!

i have recently been having trouble with unlocking my drivers door with the key fob. i decided to use a guide to take the door apart and look at the door lock module to see if any of the solder joints on the circuit board were cracked. unfortunately they werent so i bought a new lock and module from the stealers for £140, fitted it myself last night and everything seemed fine. until this morning when i went to work, door wouldnt open with the fob, key, or from inside.

i know need to find some way of opening the door, and after ive done that, see whats gone wrong. surely it cant be the brand new part ive just put in. anybody got any ideas?

thanks

hopefully sorted this last night. the metal ring that holds the key barrel in was slightly bent and also i think i had the cable that connects to the handle too tight. the arm that connects to the other end of the cable gets stuck if it is pulled too far.
